Principal’s Welcome

Greetings Maria Regina Family:

Welcome to the opening of what promises to be a wonderful school year! At this time of year, there is great anticipation of what is to come. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I write to welcome you and your child (ren) to the 2015-2016 school year here at Maria Regina Catholic School (MRS). We hope that your summer has been filled with fun family activities that you enjoyed at a leisurely pace under beautiful blue skies filled with sunshine days. This is always an exciting time of the year as we welcome our new and returning families and share great summer stories.

It is the intent of the faculty to lead students toward becoming disciplined, productive, informed and fulfilled individuals. In order for us to achieve these ideals, mutual respect and understanding must be present in the learning process on the part of all stakeholders. MRS administration and faculty believe that all students can and are willing to learn. Therefore our goal will continue to center on providing a safe, nurturing environment for active learners, where all are valued and appreciated for what they can bring to the classroom, school and community. MRS will focus on the highest potential of each student and will foster an enthusiasm for becoming life-long learners.

As I begin my ninth year here as principal of MRS, I will continue to work diligently with parents and faculty to foster an atmosphere that promotes a learning community characterized by child-centered instruction and decisions, academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement, excellent communication, and recognition of both student and staff achievements. I am committed to working in collaboration with you to continue to develop and implement this shared vision. Working together as a team we will move forward in our mission this new school year to create a nurturing, disciplined, and challenging environment in which all students can learn at optimum levels and become responsible, productive members of society. We have so much to be proud of as a staff, family, and community.

Please accept my best wishes for an exciting, productive and successful school year at Maria Regina School. I am looking forward to continuing in our endeavor to create a culture of success for the new school year. If you have any questions, please call the school office at (310) 327-9133.

 Sincerely,
Mrs. Lynnette Lino
