2nd Grade: Kaiya |
"My name is Kaiya and I go to Maria Regina School. At my school I have lots of fun. Most of the students are nice to me. My teacher Mrs. Augustine is beautiful. She teaches us about God, how to count without using our fingers, and about germs. I love my school!" |
3rd Grade: Laura |
"At MRS we always start our day with prayer and the flag salute. Each class has a chance to lead! During class our teacher makes learning fun and interesting. Some subjects can be difficult but we keep working at it. I like attending MRS because we learn about God and many new things." |
4th Grade: Christina |
"My name is
Christina and I have just started the 4th grade. I very much enjoy my days
at MRS. I arrive at about 7:30 each morning so that I can see my friends
but still be ready for school when the bell rings to begin morning
assembly. After assembly, we begin our classes. Sometimes, in 4th grade,
the 5th grade teacher comes in the classroom and teaches us math and
religion. One of the best reasons for coming to MRS is the great Catholic
education we receive.
The daycare for the school is great! After we do our homework we can go outside to play until our parents come. Sometimes, if we stay long enough we go to the library. On Fridays you get to bring toys to daycare and play with them if we don't have homework." |
5th Grade: Stacy |
"My days
at MRS are fun. I've been at this school for five years now and am still
afraid to leave! For the past five years, I've learned a lot. The teachers
have shown me how to be a life-long
learner and how to display
an enjoyment of learning. So far I love it!
My favorite part is getting a chance to understand and enjoy the teachers. They make each and every child feel welcome. The teachers also provide knowledge in listening and the importance of following directions. A couple of years back when I was in 2nd grade, Mrs. Augustine was my teacher. I liked how she put education into rhymes, songs, and games. Last year in 4th grade, Mr. Black used technology to help us understand our studies better. Finally, in 5th, we developed our math skills by using accelerated math with Ms. Jangaon. Since this is a Catholic school, we learn a lot about being Catholics. We learn how prayer, sacrifice, and having faith will help us get to heaven. MRS teaches us that we should be Christ-like in everything we do and model Jesus in our daily lives. Now in 5th grade I am looking forward to new experiences and challenges. Hopefully, this year will be better than ever. Thank you for reading." |
6th Grade: Justin |
"A day
in the life of an MRS student is fun, hard-working, and sometimes
challenging. I appreciate that when you're a new student, people talk to
you, ask you, 'What's your name?' and just hang out or play football with
you. The students will show you around the school and introduce you to
all the teachers.
What's good about my teachers is that if you don't understand what they say or if you don't understand a problem they will go over it again. The staff is nice. They say hello every morning and are always helping around the school. I want to be here to excel academically. I also want to excel physically because MRS has great sports teams." |
7th Grade: Ashley |
"A day at MRS is very enjoyable. The one thing I appreciate about Maria Regina is that the staff and teachers are very respectful, and the teachers teach you all the things you need to learn for the next grade. Another thing I appreciate is that the teachers here make learning fun but educational at the same time. I also appreciate that they give you work that is a little challenging and that's what makes you work harder--to do better in school." |
8th Grade: Cheyone |
"I have been attending Maria Regina since Kindergarten. I've seen a couple new principals, new teachers, and new students and the school is still in good condition and a positive place. I really do enjoy this school and the friends I've made through the years. I hope it continues to grow and has many more generations to come." |
8th Grade: Paige |
"Being an 8th grader is fun and interesting, and so is being in student council. I think it can be very challenging and rewarding. You can get the opportunities to help out people, especially those in lower grades. Being here at MRS is very fun and exciting because we do various activities and go on different field trips. I have been here 9 years and these were the best school years I could ever experience." |
