SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer School at Maria Regina is an extended learning opportunity for students in areas of Religion, Math, Reading, Computers, and Language Arts in a curriculum for both remedial and enrichment work.

See our 2011 summer school page to see our bright students engaged in work, enrichment activities, and computer science page.

Maria Regina highly recommends that all new students entering Maria Regina attend summer school. In part, the transition into our school works best if our new students have time to become accustomed to the school's rules and regulations and educational expectations. Working with the school's faculty during our summer session as well as making friends are very important components of our summer program.

Summer school is available to those students who:

·        MUST attend - Any student who is maintaining an overall failing average in Reading , English and/or Math will be required to attend summer school or any accredited tutoring institution approved by the principal. Successful completion of the required work is necessary for return to Maria Regina.

·        ARE RECOMMENDED to attend - Any student who has maintained an overall below average in Reading, English, and/or Math will be recommended to attend summer school to be better prepared for the next grade level.

·        WISH to attend.

**If a student misses 4 or more days of summer school, they will not receive credit.**
